An attempt to end hunger is one of the best feelings which can change the quality of life. Food symbolizes mothers love and let us be instruments of this goodness of Anna Dana. Ending hunger is lifting the quality of consciousness. To grow tall spiritually one must first learn to kneel and serve and thus be humble.
Annadana is the Prasanna Trust’s most widely demanded charitable function. In all religions across the world, the donating of food has been described as the most purposeful of gifts. Beyond financial donations, you may also have the pleasure of serving the meal with your own hands. Enjoy the joy of giving food to patients, needy and the destitute and you may see glimpses of their gratitude and satisfaction on their faces.

Traditionally meaning “an offering of food”, Annadana is served every day for the less-privileged at the Prasanna Trust. Poor nutrition and health among the underprivileged contributes to the inefficiency of our socio-economic systems. Nutritional and health factors are powerful influences on each persons ability to endure.
Our belief is that the Nutritious Meal Program has an important “socialisation role”. Food should be served in an organized, dignified, equitable and friendly manner. Towards this, our model nutritious free food programs strictly observes the following serving rules:
The primary need of Annadana is a kitchen to prepare fresh, nutritious meals for people vulnerable to or experiencing food insecurity.
